I have decided to use Messenger after five years of it being un-active on my computer, that's okay I can message but don't seem to be able to use my webcam and microphone as my calls go unanswered. I am very frustrated as am not terribly computer literate, well I should be but I am 63 yo. 

Do I need to download the new Messenger I see around?  Maybe that's the prob.  Any replies welcome.  Thanks D

thanks.  I have the latest but I can't remember now what it is .  I HAVE now got the microphones and webcam to work .. whew,  but I only have a 2" x 2" photo of my webcam down the bottom when it shows a much larger one of the person I am talking to up the top of the page.  Would that be right. ??? Apart from that, all is going well.  Thank you sm ..

To make your video feed bigger:

On your web cam preview box click the little down-pointing arrow.

You will get a list of options and one will say "size".

Put your mouse over it and you should see Small, medium or large. Click on the size you want

I am having the same problem as you...i have the latest MSN and Skype and i cant seem to be able to connect to the other person using either....shows an error message...I know its been a long time but could you remember what you did to sort out the problem?

appreciate any help
