Usually I let Msn automatically adjust my webcams framerate and gain control but lately I thought I would try adjusting it myself.

I got it worked out lovely so my cam was both Fast and still Bright enough for people to see me clearly.

Because if I let msn use "Automatic gain control" it makes everything almost pure white.. and it turns the frame rate down to 5 frames per second when I would like about 27 frames per second.

What I'm trying to say is how can I change the frame rate of my webcam and max out the gain at 10,000 (max) and use those settings without Msn turning the gain down to 0 if I don't let msn do it automatically.

It's really annoying. I set it up how I want it. Then msn puts the gain at 0. So my cam goes dark and grey and blurry

Can someone help please?
