[Suggestion:] Option to disable auto-disabling of scripts by rh on 02-07-2009 at 09:12 AM
Hi,
MsgPlus always disables scripts when WLM crashed, thinking the script might have caused the crash. This normally is a reasonable feature, BUT I use SimpLite to encrypt my conversations, and the programs don't work well together:
After every reboot I have to manually reenable my scripts. I assume the cause is that SimpLite forcefully shuts down WLM, and Plus interprets that as a crash.
Therefore, for advanced users, there should be a setting in MsgPlus that stops auto-disabling of scripts after a crash. It could be registry setting, advanced users would not mind.
Thanks!
rh

There is a registry option to stop this
http://www.msgpluslive.net/help/registry/
HKCU\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\your@email.com\Preferences
EnableScriptProtection
Boolean value. Set to false (0) to disable automatic script disabling when Messenger ends prematurely.
Obviously if that Boolean is not there, right click "New -> DWORD(32bit) Value
or
Open Notepad, paste the following in
code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\YOUR-EMAIL-HERE\Preferences]
"EnableScriptProtection"=dword:00000000
Save as a .reg, double click it, voila
