This is the situation: RE: WLM 2009 overrides 3rd party now playing plug-ins??? by MeEtc on 02-08-2009 at 03:03 AM No, its not overriding EVERY 3rd party plugin, Microsoft just finally decided to actually support Winamp natively now. So it will only override 3rd party plugins designed for Winamp. RE: WLM 2009 overrides 3rd party now playing plug-ins??? by crimson on 02-08-2009 at 03:21 AM
Ok, thanks! RE: RE: WLM 2009 overrides 3rd party now playing plug-ins??? by Genesis Genome on 02-12-2009 at 06:37 AM
quote: Can I get confirmation on this? 09 Doesn't seem to pick up my Winamp. Not natively anyway. I can get it working with dts now playing script, but found msn crashes if Winamp was closed and didn't display the PSM properly in the contact list. Also works with MessengerAmp plugin for Winamp which is what I'm using now. (I lose the song sending options and such, but I no longer crash and the contact PSM is fixed) RE: WLM 2009 overrides 3rd party now playing plug-ins??? by kiljaeden on 02-14-2009 at 09:14 AM
I'm using a Toaster plugin for Winamp to display songs currently playing. On my contact list, it only shows <song title> - <artist> (which is annoying, it's not even displaying that properly), but it seems that anyone who's still using an older version of WLM can see whatever format you've defined in your plugin/player/player's plugin. quote: I can't get WLM to pick up anything from Winamp either, on my laptop using Winamp and WLM without any plugins.
