My Remote Control
Version: 1.50


My Remote Control can shutdown, restart, or log off the computer that WLM is running on via another contact (i.e. You at a friends house and you forgot to turn off your computer so you use his/her account to shutdown Windows). There is also a way to cancel the shutdown and restart procedure on your computer.

Commands:
  • !shutdown <password>
  • !restart <password>
  • !logoff <password>
  • !cancel
  • !remote control - Lists the commands

Changelog

  • Encrypt password with SHA256
  • No longer have to log out to save settings
  • Simplified settings window

You install that script on your computer......and then it will allow you to shut the computer down via a friend's computer as long as you are logged into msn.

Example:

You leave your computer running to go to a friend's house for a short time

You then decide to stay longer at your friend's house and want your computer shut down

You get your friend to log onto WLM and open a conversation with you and send the shutdown command as illustrated

This will then shut down your computer safely

- Set warning messages
- Set seconds countdown

4. Leave your computer.

5. Go on a different computer and sign in to Messenger on a secondary account.

6. On Messenger, open up a conversation with your first account and use the commands to shutdown/restart/logoff the computer your first account is on.

Instead of SHA256, can you use AES?

AES is for encryption and decryption while SHA256 is a hash and cannot be converted back to the original password (Unless it is brute forced). This script intentionally uses SHA256 to prevent someone with physical access to the computer from finding the users password. If you would like you can modify the script to use AES.

would it be possible to modify it so that it wont shut down the computer, but instead just sign out the messenger?

i did for example.... !restart < entered my password> and nothing happened except came out as message

Were trying to shut down your local computer? The way the script works is by you sending the command in a chat window to a logged in using on your computer you are trying to shutdown.

You need 1 email signed in on a computer running the script and another email signed in on another computer to send the command to the first email.
