Hi there.

I´m  new to the skinning system in Plus! but i´m going ok with my skins and the official skinning documentation until i met the Encoding and Decoding UIB data, i can hardly understand how MPtools.exe works, What is exactly the process to get the final decoded def/style.

Any help? :$

You don't have to worry about that ;) all you need to know is how to extract Messenger resources and you will be fine, there's no need to use MPtools.exe

That´s fine for me but i just want to make something like Willz have done in Evo 4, in order to do that i need to know how that stuff works, anyway thanks for the rep :)

I don't know, but it appears that he only changed the file extension to .uib, you can open that files with notepad and they are the same as text files.

True, Willz' files are plain text files. However, that's just for Ev0, I'd still like to know how exactly coding and decoding works.

Plus! takes care of the decoding/encoding for skins automatically. MPtools.exe shouldn't be needed, only for people who want to patch Messenger without using a skin.
