When I run Windows Live Messenger "latest build" it doesnt show a picture, not even the place for the picture. If I click Sign in, it shows me the picture while signing in. Also, if I click sign-in and then stop it, the picture shows. Have a look at the screenshot, it explains it all. Any idea about what's going on? RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by robert_dll on 02-23-2009 at 01:05 AM That happens because there is no space for it to appear, icrease the window height or the resolution of your screen. RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-23-2009 at 08:51 PM How can I increase the window height? Also, it was normal but became like that suddenly. What resolution are you running at? RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-23-2009 at 10:27 PM 800 by 600 pixels, it did get fixed when I changed the resolution, but I still prefer the old resolution as everything is small now. What bothers me is that it used to show the DPs and suddenly without changing anything it stopped showing them. RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by djdannyp on 02-23-2009 at 10:33 PM
what size screen are you using? RE: RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-23-2009 at 10:43 PM
quote:800x600 And yes noticed it got fixed when I changed it to 1024x786 but now everything is way too small. RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by robert_dll on 02-23-2009 at 11:16 PM You get used to it, but if you use a 15" or lower screen then yes, things look very small. RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-23-2009 at 11:22 PM Ok, I guess I'll have to deal with it without the DPs then, it's not that hard to deal with. Thank you alot guys, appreciated. Thread can be closed now. RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by blessedguy on 02-23-2009 at 11:27 PM
quote:Even in 800x600, if you use a skin that removes those links at the bottom, there will be enough space for the DP to b shown... RE: RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-23-2009 at 11:33 PM
quote:That's a solution but, 1)There are very few skins for the latest version of WLM and I dont even know if they offer that feature. 2)Using a skin will prevent me from hiding all the ads. RE: RE: RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by djdannyp on 02-23-2009 at 11:34 PM
quote: I said what size screen, not what resolution, you'd already answered that If it's anything 15" or over then there's no excuse really I have my netbook on 1024x786 and that's a 8.9" screen. quote: 1) Create one? 2) Using a skin is what enables you to hide all the ads, it takes literally a couple of minutes (i made myself a skin last night to 'minimalise' messenger (remove ads, links, unnecessary things, etc) while i work on my proper skin) RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by blessedguy on 02-23-2009 at 11:38 PM
quote:The ones that change-the-less messenger are My Live and Avalon Concept. And both have the "gift" for number 2... (and hide those links) quote:That's an other and easy way =P RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Spunky on 02-24-2009 at 12:20 AM
quote: Nothing is designed for that resolution quote: You have never changed resolution to that quote: No, you don't WHY? It's 768, not 786 RE: RE: RE: RE: DPs in Sign-in windows by Moh on 02-24-2009 at 06:44 AM
