[?] Russian characters? by SmokingCookie on 04-11-2009 at 07:20 AM
Hi folks,
I've been trying to add Russian characters to a skin's name, yet it doesn't appear in the list. When transliterated, it does. Aren't these characters supported by Plus!?

Its probably because Skininfo files are UTF-8 and for those characters to appear you have to be in UTF-16 which Plus! doesn't recognise as a valid Skininfo file.

I see. But why does it not recognise UTF-16 then?

Probably because Messenger doesn't support UTF-16 and it wouldn't make much sense to allow it.
