just a quick one ...
when i open a chat window i dont have any of the buttons above where you write the text
i cant nudge send winks or anything like that
have i accidently changed a setting or is something going on
i cant seem to find anywhere to get it back

Press Alt for the menu bar to appear, Click Tools> Show Toolbars> Formatting.
