How could I remove that update notification coming when I log in? I don't like the 2009 version.

Eventually you will have to upgrade. What is is you don't like about the 2009 version?
Did you know you can change the looks with Messenger Plus! skins?

You cannot disable that message, unless you know Resource Hacking. However, I strongly do encourage you to upgrade to WLM9, as it's much better than 8.5.
