I thought that, activating the funcion "private sound emoticon" at Messenger Plus!, when I play a sound emoticon, it won't send to my friend, but unfortunatelly wasn't this that happened. The sound was enviated to my friend, anyway. RE: "Private sound emoticon" isn't private! by ShawnZ on 05-23-2009 at 02:34 AM wtf would be the point of an emoticon sound that didn't get sent to your contact? RE: "Private sound emoticon" isn't private! by robert_dll on 05-23-2009 at 02:42 AM That option hides the sound when other users are looking for new sounds stored in the sounds servers, so, it is not a bug. RE: "Private sound emoticon" isn't private! by alisson.pc on 05-23-2009 at 03:34 AM But... Have some matter of i send a sound to a contact for it only listen, but with a way that it can't receive the sound emoticon? Or... Even I send a sound emoticon, the sound must be copied for my contact pc? RE: "Private sound emoticon" isn't private! by ryxdp on 05-23-2009 at 03:44 AM AFAIK there is no way (yet?) of sending a sound to someone without it being added to that person's Sound Library, so I guess what you're asking is impossible. It might be a good feature to suggest though, but perhaps there's a reason it hasn't been implemented yet if someone's already thought of it. In order for your contact to play the sound it must first be send to your contact. This goes for every type of interaction between you and somebody else. RE: "Private sound emoticon" isn't private! by vaccination on 05-23-2009 at 08:53 AM
If you want to hear it, without them hearing it, then use the preview mode in the sound window: |
