Volv, why would you get an operating system like home premium... you only get the full of anything, otherwise its stupid... RE: Australian prices of windows7? (thread 2) by Menthix on 08-07-2009 at 11:40 AM
quote:I got Home Premium too. Why would I pay a lot more money for features I don't use? Wouldn't that be stupid? As for the price, you can be creative even without warez... I ordered from the Amazon UK preorder even while I live in the Netherlands + getting a free copy for being a managed tester. RE: Australian prices of windows7? The additional features in Home Ultimate over Home Premium are marginal. I doubt you would ever notice a difference if you had the two to work with. I'm not claiming to know what you do with your PC, I'm emphasising how minor the differences are. RE: Australian prices of windows7? (thread 2) by blessedguy on 08-07-2009 at 05:28 PM

quote: I totally agree with that. Even the upgrade editions are pretty expensive. I mean $40 between ultimate upgrade and ultimate retail is a bit of a disappointment. For the extra money I pay for Ultimate I could buy myself some more RAM or something. But hey at least its not like Adobe's pricing on stuff. RE: Australian prices of windows7? quote:It'd be so nice if Microsoft acted like it's concorrent this time... Bah, $29 update for Vista users would be a great deal =P RE: Australian prices of windows7? (thread 2) by Volv on 08-08-2009 at 01:40 AM
quote:Yeah, it's just part of their marketing scheme to pull you into buying a Mac though. With prices like that on their hardware it damn well better be a $29 OS upgrade lol RE: Australian prices of windows7? (thread 2) by blessedguy on 08-08-2009 at 02:13 AM
