I recently got a new computer a month ago that originally had Vista () on it and all MSN Messenger, Windows Live, Windows Messenger etc etc worked perfectly on it.

A few days after I got the computer, I changed the OS to Windows XP, and as soon as this happened, MSN no longer worked. I can download it and install fine enough, but as soon as I log in and try and click on ANYTHING inside the MSN box, it just freezes up and crashes. I don't get any error message, it just stops and vanishes from the screen and from my task bar.

I've tried having everything closed, restarting, reinstalling one time too many. I don't know what to try now. If anyone has any idea what I can do, any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if any more info is needed, but there really isn't much more too it D:

Recently reinstalled to give it another shot, now I can't even log in because of error '8007007e'. Can anyone tell me what that means?

Do you have Messenger Plus! Live installed?

Does the problem occur without Messenger Plus! Live?
