I just installed the latest version of Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live. But after signing in, all of my contacts are gone.
When I use version 7.5, I think, of WLM, it was fine. But after the mandatory Oct 14th update, the contacts just disappear. My friends can still see that I'm online, but I can't see them. I tried uninstalling both the WLM and MP!L, delete their respective folders, restart the PC, and reinstall it again. But the problem persists. Just for the record, I downloaded a fresh copy of MP!L at msgplus.net
I tried using another account to check if the problem was with my primary account, but I got the same result.
Can someone help me, please.... T.T
Btw, I do not install any add-on be it scripts, skins, emoticons and etc.

Do we have to leave the messenger online so that it can sync with MSN or just do nothing about it?
Before the mandatory update, I installed this version of messenger too. But the same problem persisted. Only after rolling back to the old version I was able to see my contacts. Is it suppose to be like this?
Btw, my internet connection is pretty slow.
