I always do just the wallpaper, it's easier that way plus gives people a link to it if they want it....nothing interesting on my desktop, just bog standard Win7 with a few program icons :P

It's Windows XP Home Edition, with the Media Center theme and Windows 7 background.  Oh, and the ClearType font smoothing (done using the Windows XP PowerToy).
