I've had the same Live Messenger account for a long time now (years). About 2-3 weeks ago, I suddenly started getting spam friend requests from nearly identical addresses. I declined them all and reported all of them as spam, but continued to get several per day. Having had enough of this, I created a new account, saved my contacts list and moved to the new account. When I tried to verify my email address, though, I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. I also tried FireFox, and that didn't work, either. I tried logging in online and verifying my email address through the web interface, but I errored out on that route as well. This does not seem to be a fault of my system, because all other sites I've brought up are working fine. What should I do from this point to trouble-shoot?
