i recently downloaded wlm beta and now messenger plus wont work for me. i tried downloading it again but it didnt work. can anyone help ?

Messenger Plus! isn't compatible with the Windows Live Messenger beta (yet). For now you'll have to either use the beta without Plus!, or go back to the lastest stable version to use Plus!.

For the WLM beta version, that's very unlikely, for the reason that it's a beta and is buggy. However, when the final version of WLM 2011 is released, soon after a Plus!-compatible version should be too. We don't know exactly when that'll be.

It's not a good idea to support betas because it can interfere with the debugging. A search of the forums would have yielded the same answer:

Windows Live Messenger Beta provides a little look onto what the new Windows Live Messenger, might look, and I really like it, especially the new way contacts are displayed. too bad that WLMP isn't compatible, so I had to go back to the last stable version, and will wait until it is, because I really don't like using WLM without the customization that WLMP gives me.

Hope WLM gets out of Beta soon, so WLMP can get compatible.
