I have about 80 contacts in my msn live, what I'd like to do is send a message to all of them, even those that are offline, without opening a window for all 80 of them.
Is this at all possible or am I dreaming?

First things first: please, always search forums first before making a new thread. This exact same question (send a message to all contacts) has been asked only a few days ago...
