Hello guys,
as the title says my msn doesn't work at all, i have the latest version of msn installed, i had the plus, uninstalled and tryed to log with the wlm but yet it still does't work, i have windows 7
all it happens is that i click on "sign in" it starts loading then when it's in 3 seconds passes and windows says "windos live messenger has stopped to work" etc.. and i can only quit the program, nothing else

does anyone know how to help me out?

Does it still crash after you have uninstalled Messenger Plus!?

uninstalled, installed, doesn't work
uninstalled cam, installed msn, doesn't work
uninstalled cam, msn and antivirus, reinstalled msn and doesn't work...

i seriously don't want to format but i also need it :/

When you view the details of the crash what application is it that has ended?

Try uninstalling the beta and installing the latest stable version instead. Does that solve the problem?

Matty asked to uninstall Messenger Plus!, not to re-install it. Have you tried that (thus without MsgPlus installed)? Because that isn't very clear from your post.

Also try to remove your contacts cache (and other cached content) before running Windows Live Messenger (I don't have the link to the instructions atm, but if you search the forums you'll find it for sure).

i did try reinstall only WLM without the plus, yet it still give the problem, i have uninstalled the beta... if you think that's the problem i must find out how to properly delete it from my pc... cos i did uninstall the beta already...

Can you try the following:
Uninstall Messenger Plus!, and also any other addon you might have installed (eg: Smiley Central, etc).

Uninstall the beta version of Windows Live Messenger (in case you have it installed), and install the latest version again.

Then proceed to the following page and follow the instructions exactly:

this is to remove the contacts cache. If Messenger crashes after signing in, it could indicate a faulty cache.

i tryed to follow everything that you just linked me, but it still doesn't work,

first i have uninstalled everything of msn, then reinstalled the latest version of WLM, then tryed to delete the contact list of msn or check if it's still running from task manager and yet.. still it doesn't work :/ i even checkt if a firewall was stopping it, but nothing...

this is what it says after i click "log in" it just stuck there and nothing won't move of WLM

btw it's italian and it says " WLM has stopped to work"...
