I read about a compatability mode in MP!L4 for the latest WLM but my question is what features does it support/use/etc.

There is no compatibility mode in Messenger Plus! 4 for the latest Windows Live Messenger.

Disabling safe mode doesn't work on the build released September 30. Hence no compatity for the latest version. Disabling safe mode only worked on the previous (beta) build.
