I have mesenger version 2009 build 14.0.8117.416 and I cant change my profile or view others profiles ,, also help files won't open along with other items on menu..
Just curious if others are having this problem with this version ..
it seems people with version 2009 build 14.0.8089.726 have no problems with these issues ..
Also is there somewhere I can download that version and try it???

What exact actions do you take to go to your profile and what exactly happens? What do you see? Please provide more details.
PS: The version of Messenger shouldn't have any influence on this since your profile is a online service provided by Windows Live, it is not Messenger which controls these things. Messenger simply opens your internet browser and logs you in to your online profile page (http://profile.live.com/). So, even with another version you're still need to go to http://profile.live.com/ anyways.
In fact, you don't need to have Messenger at all to view or edit profiles.

Well the help files ,, I click on help, then on show help topics , and nothing happens..
The same with the profile things ,, my contact card comes up but when I click on either edit contact info or view profile ,, nothing..
as with others ,, view profile. I click on it , it coes away so the mouse is working but the profile dosn't open..
I uninstalled twice and re downloaded messenger but didnt help..
Going to try Zapmessenger when I have time .. try downloading again..
WhenI click onHelp, billing support and phone calls , a new window opens...
I was wondering if I could sue microsoft because my butt is numb from sitting here so log trying to figure this out....

What browser do yo have?
Make sure MSIE is properly installed (and updated!) and not blocked by any software.
Clicking those links will normally open your browser, hence I don't think re-installing or installing a new version of Messenger will solve anything (you could try though to rule it out).

Thanks cookieRevised .. Zapmessenger worked ,, msn uninstaller must have been missing something.. everything seems to be working good now...
