So why not make it that it wouldn't be slow? what is a big difference when in compatibility to vista sp2? RE: [split] more talk with compatibility setting by Menthix on 02-21-2011 at 10:52 AM
There is just no need to run Messenger in any compatibility mode. Especially now the MessengerToTray script is out. RE: [split] more talk with compatibility setting by Arcticwolfx on 02-21-2011 at 10:54 AM
Personally I run Windows Live Messenger 2011 in combination Messenger Plus! v5 under "Vista SP2" Compatibility Mode and so far have not experienced any problems. RE: RE: [split] more talk with compatibility setting by V@no on 02-21-2011 at 02:14 PM
quote:Thank you for mention this! I didn't know about that script (especially that it's not listed in scripts database) For anyone's convenience the script is located in this topic: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=96847 Works great on my computers (it even shows preview in taskbar, which wasn't available in compatibility mode) RE: [split] more talk with compatibility setting by Arcticwolfx on 02-21-2011 at 06:13 PM
quote: Not that it's very important, but I'm curious, what shows preview in taskbar? My Contact List and Conversation windows do show previews in Taskbar in Compatibility mode Vista SP2. Either way, the script is more than likely a better solution than using Compatibility mode, as it may cause unforeseen bugs.
