I installed two days ago Plus 5 and for two days I noticed a problem.
With Plus installed (thus this doesn't happen without it ->tested) while in a chat conversation I type something that an emoticon associated when i press "send" or return on the keyboard the windows "hangs" for about 1 second for every icon. For example if I type something like this "Hello :) :) :) " when I send it the windows will hang with no response for about 3 seconds before actually sending and returning responsive.
Is this a known bug?

I haven't heard about it before.
  • Which Messenger version are you using?
    In your contacts list press Alt to show the menubar and go to: Help > About Messenger. The full buildnumber is useful.
  • Which Windows version are you using?
  • Are you running Messenger in Windows compatibility mode?
    For example to show the Messenger icon in the systray when you're using Windows 7.
  • Besides Plus!, are you using any other Messenger patches or add-ons?
    Like A-Patch/MessPatch/SweetIM.

Is this a known bug?
This has been happening since WLM 2009 and also WLM 2011 with MP!L 4.9 but for me it does any random emoticon even if I haven't pressed any shortcut keys and I have to delete them
Please help fix this :D

I remember having this issue several years ago.. I'd just be typing and emoticons would appear. This usually happened on messages that were too large as well.
