Hello there Jraymer360,

First of all I hope you've checked your Firewall settings to not block Windows Live Messenger from accessing the internet.

Also I notice in your tray bar that you're running both Windows Live Messenger and an older version, called "Windows Messenger." Can you try to shut down that old version? It's the icon to the right of your Windows Live Messenger icon, with the two green "puppets."

That won't work, And i only have Windows firewall, And no anti virus programs.

Should i un-install the old .Net MSN?

I'm out of ideas.. Perhaps you should take a look at the following thread:

Thats how i got on this forum =P

won't work for me...Thanks for the help anyways, I think i'll probably just stick with my .NET Messenger for now then...

Ok so...My MSN Won't work...Don't know why, Not a big computer guy( just a gamer), Not really sure why it isn't working.

I'm using Windows XP, Downloaded the one for windows XP From the microsoft site.

My problem is...It signs in...Then nothing. Heres a picture to show you.

I Type in my information, Click Sign in, Get the Signing in thing...Then it just goes back to that again ( referring to picture.)

I Don't get an error BTW

If this is answered in another thread..Sorry i'm a derp sometimes.

Yeah about 3 times, Because the first time i thought i might have downloaded a 2010/2011 version, but still didn't work.

I've just tried this out since I happen to be using Windows XP for the moment. Trying to sign Windows Live Messenger doesn't do anything if the Windows messenger is running.

I would take a look at the following site:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302089/en-us

After you've disabled Windows Messenger, re-install Windows Live Messenger, make sure you don't have any other Windows Live Messenger add-ons installed.
