Can't Decrypt log after recover! by BessiaN on 03-17-2011 at 05:53 PM

I was talking to someone and i forgot the log file opened :S
Then a message appeard "the file is in use" or something like that ,
After that a new log file was created for that contact and i lost the old log file
I recovered the old log file using some recovery software called Recuva
But i cant open it ,its damaged or i don't know ???
When i try to open the log file the page is blank

When you recovered the file in Recuva did it tell you it could be? What was the status of the file? Red, yellow or green?

I don't quite understand how the opened file would just disappear when a new one was created?

The status of the file in Recuva  was yellow
There was a message and the file dissapeard and  two other files were created
name@live.com ,and name@live.com(2)

but none contained the old logs :(

What was the size of the file when it was created and the size of the file from Recuva? Chances are the file was partially overwritten and cannot be recovered (unfortunately).

The file needs to be unaltered to be properly decrypted by Messenger Plus!. This could quite possibly be a bug in the software.

The size is the same before and after the recovery 720kb
But I think it was overwritten by another file!

Is there any chance to decrypt it?
