Try installing it English and then changing the language in the preferences after.

chan0202, forget about that bug riddled web-installer. Instead, download and use
the full installer:

See if that works...

Full instruction set:

1- Remove that web installer setup file.
    (Also check your Desktop; There might also be a file link related to the webinstaller on there named "Continue Messenger Plus! Installation".)
2- Clear your browser cache (see how here)
3- Restart your computer
4- Redownload Messenger Plus! from this link:
    http://mirror10.msgpluslive.net/20110308/Conduit/Setup-MsgPlus-501.exe
    updated: http://mirror10.msgpluslive.net/20110531/VS/Setup-MsgPlus-502.exe
5- Save that full setup somewhere and start it up

Note that the above link will install the exact same version of Messenger Plus!. The only difference is the setup/installer itself.

@Yuna: for crying out loud, when are you going to pull that complete piece of crap from the net? How many dissapointed, unsatisfied customers does it take to realize this webinstaller should be completely removed?

Apparently the complaints from the beta testers when you released that webinstaller didn't convince you that such installers should actually be tested before releasing. I can only hope that the many customers who report faulty installs (not to mention the many customers who don't even bother with it anymore and just walk away) will open your eyes.

Just tried to install. TOTALLY fresh Windows 7 SP1 32bit, as in not even 30 mins ago.

Downloaded new version from web, ran install, got to 11% (downloading) and locked.

Thanks Cookie for the full installer link.

IMO : Drop the POS web-downloaders. I NEVER use them, and I vehemently oppose them at all times. (I do a lot of offline installs for myself/customers)
