Good morning all!
I've a problem when i tried to install messenger plus yesterday. My antivirus detected a variant of ''win32/messengerplus''.
What do you think about it?
I'm using windows 7 x86 always updated and eset smart security 5 as antivirus.
So, what can i do?

We are in touch with Eset about this issue…Messenger Plus! for Windows LIve Messenger and Messenger Plus! for Skype are safe to download and do not contain viruses.

You're welcome - you'll find that other antivirus programs will give Messenger Plus! a green light.

i using Eset Nod32 Antivirus 4.2.71.2 also detected it as virus as i cannot install msgplus, is there any solutions ? and do you have offline installer ? .. the online installer is very slow.

Hi Yoksan - many other antiviruses, other than Eset will NOT detect Messenger Plus! as a virus. The offline installer is being worked on but is not ready yet.

it detect virus, because contains spyware (optional ofc) but the installation contains it.

I ended up running out of patience and uninstalled msgplus. It became impossible to install new versions of msgplus because NOD32 prevented you from doing anything. Also, there's just too much garbage in msgplus now. During installation, it asks you to install a bunch of junk that no one in their right mind would wanna have on their computer.

I talk about the toolbar ofc (considered spyware in some websites).
and the installer come with all these things enabled by default, but shouldn't be enabled by default, due there is some people that install these things by mistake.

Cant the technician fix this problem since this is the only antivirus's problem ?
