Yesterday i installed messenger plus 6 on my new laptop, i used it on my other laptop so now i wanted to use it on the new one too ! When i installed it, it worked fine. But today i start up MSN and plus service is started but doesn't show up on the main login screen.. Tried alot reinstalls with no effect ;s


What can i do to fix this?

Hi, we haven't made any changes to Messenger Plus! 6 since yesterday.  Did you perhaps install any other programs on your laptop that may interfere  (i.e. SweetIM)?  Have you shut down and restarted your laptop?  Good luck.

Nathalie, i don't have something else like SweetIM and the other things mentioned on the forum..

I installed windows updates and reseted laptop many times and first it worked like a charm and then i installed the updates and then it doesn't work anymore.. On my other laptop i got the same updates and Plus is still running smoothly, but on my new system it is disappeared again ...


Could i change something in the register? Reinstall doesn't help, even if i clean all registry rules that are connected with Plus..

Thanks, so we will need more details - Which operating system do you use? What version of Windows Live Messenger and which version and  build of Messenger Plus! 6? 

I'm using

Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows Live Messenger 2011 ( idk what build)
Recently installed the latest update from Plus!, still no effect..

I meet the same problem. Messenger Plus doesn't start with WLM.

Unless you're in mainland China, Microsoft is discontinuing its Messenger service in a few weeks, so what do you think about trying to switch over to Messenger Plus! (for Skype) and then logging in with your Windows LIve ID so that you can still communicate with your Messenger contacts?
