Just wondering what kinda servers u guys runing for ?? Wondering what kinda sever i should run for my site?

These forums are on a shit () server at the moment but are getting upgraded soonish (i think)

Cant remember specs of it though

It's a Celeron 1.3 GHz with 512 MB RAM, running Redhat Linux.

Anyway, msgplus.net is on different servers that are provided by C2 Media... I dunno what the hardware is, but they run FreeBSD. Patchou's new patchou.com server uses Microsoft IIS on Windows Server 2003.

look i just need some thing that will run my site (as show in my signiture) and i need to run a myBBboard. what should i run?

Linux is least resource intesnize for an OS, but I would stick to Windows Server 2000 (far easier).

For your purpose, I would suggest a low end IBM server, because you won't need TOO much power for such a small website. Go for a pentium 4, and get a Hard Drive 7200 read time or greater. As for Ram, NO LESS than 256 MB, though 512 or 1 GB would be the best choice.
