My problem: I don't have the sounds "Mouahahahaha!" for example !

Else, all my sounds work (mp3, wav , when a contact is connecting, ...)

on the other hand,I don't have windows media player 9 and I don't wan't it
If it's the problem, is there a solution ??

Yo don't have to have Windows Media Player (I don't believe)..Try this goto: Plus>Preferencs>General Options>Sound Config then  on the "Play sounds using the defauld MPEG1 codec or Play sounds using the default MPEG2 codec...Check the OPPOSITE one you have checked now...then apply the changes and then restart msn messenger and see if it works...Hope this helps

If I talk about Wmp , it's because I've seen this in previous thread. I too, think it's strange ...

And I try MPEG1 and 2, and always not sounds.

I don't understand, and I think you can't help me, maybe one day I will find ....

Nothing

I've tried all the codecs packs  -> nothing

MPEG1, MPEG2 ->nothing

What Plus uses to play sounds ?? (.acm, .dll, ?)

Plus uses the default MPEG player registered in Windows (MCI Extensions). It's generally the same codec used by Media Player. If you cant hear sounds, I can guarentee that theres something wrong with the soudn codecs installewd on your computer.

In regedit:

I don't have MPEGVideo and MPEGVideo2 values

We must have: (REG_SZ)

AVIVideo = mciavi32.dll
CDAudio = mcicda.dll
MPEGVideo = mciqtz32.dll
MPEGVideo2 = mciqtz32.dll
Sequencer = mciseq.dll
WaveAudio = mciwave.dll
