O.P. Undecided  alternate browsers
recently i moved away from using internet explorer into the world of alternate browsers and came across firefox.  now although ive been able to set firefox as my default browser and xp seems to recognise that fact msn does not.  i find it really annoying that if i go to check my mail through msn it still uses internet explorer. :@

is there anyway to change this?!

Yes, StuffPlug-NG has the ability to open your Hotmail in your default browser, you can download it from here http://www.stuffplug.com/

It depends on your operating system, since I think you're on Windows XP I'll use this method.
Download and Install the new browser, it may ask you anyway to set it as the default browser, failing that;
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove programs > Set program Access and Defaults > Custom and select the browser you wish to use, and ok. If you have the necessary XP update you need only do Start > Set program Access and Defaults > Custom
