how can u hide ur ip address from others? i tried to use the cmd "netstat -n" but the other person hid their ip address to make it look like someone elses i was talking to..

Don't establish a direct connection with them, this way they can't get your IP address. But if you have a firewall and\or a password on your Windows login, there's nothing to worry about...

When you talk to someone on MSN via text, you do not establish a direct connection

ry03pn, you can use proxies or other tools, which I doubt are legal.

Telnet based hacking methods require two things;
1) Your IP address
2) Your Windows login details...
3) Disabled Firewalls

I'm just saying that even if they have your IP address there is little they can do...before you start asking questions like that (in a way that some people may find offensive) look it up first before making the conversation stray from the topic...
