they probably use compression, as text is really easy to compress, the actual number is much lower then that.

I hardly call a line or two of text at the bottom of your e-mail annoying, not like anyone reads it.
And just use an ad blocker.

I have finaly gotten an gmail accout, an i thing it's great.
But it don't think you can use all 1000MB, or can you hahaha.

also people just remember google dosnt reserve 1gb per email its shared so if everyone who uses gmail did try and fill their inbox with 1gb google would probly have to buy some more hardware or something

I think that the gmail adwords adverts are better... firstly they're almost likely to interest you and second they download fast, rather than crappy huge animated gifs.
