O.P. I'll reinstall winxp, what files to save?
I will reinstall windows xp & Messenger Plus. I'll like to know where are the customized contact nick files. Every contact on my list has a nick customized by myself (with the help of plus), but last time I reinstalled windows I lost them all. Which files do I have to backup?

The custom names are stored in the Registry. If you use the Import/Export Wizard, you can save them for later use. In the Plus! > Preferences dialog window, click the Save/Load link in the left bottom corner. Then, follow the instructions on the screen, making sure you choose to export contact specific information :)
