like...i'm doing a new signature...and it has an hyperlink...i want it to go directly to an email message(mailto: putoalmeida@gmail.com) and to have a text allready  written...how do i do the text thing?tks

This ?body= part of the link may not work in all browsers, it's not officially standarised. There's also ?subject= and such:
<a href="mailto:putoalmeida@gmail.com?subject=This is my subject&body=This is the lovely text I'd like to see in the body.">Link</a>

If it's for a signature on these forums:
[email=putoalmeida@gmail.com?subject=This is my subject&body=This is the lovely text I'd like to see in the body.]Link[/email]

didn't work...see it...(tried in firefox and internet explorer)...the messege is something like can't find the specified directory...

I think you copied the code wrong or something

i did control + c and control + v and then altered the text...no big thing i didn't ruin it for sure LOl

Make sure you didn't delete a quote symbol ( " ).

seeing the error, you indeed messed up some things...

post the complete code you're trying to use...

...it's giving the same mistake...

Did you try taking out the ?body part?

People can just write the message themselves.
