lastime i reinstalled windows on my friends pc it was a clean slate. u sure i don't need to back anything up?

Actially re-installing windows will format your pc, but reparing it wont.

thankyou madman, just saved me from losing everything on my pc.

this is a familly pc, so i'm thinking it's better to wait til we can update norton, than to risk messing up the pc even more

okee diddly, i put the cd in, followed instructions, and now it's asking for an administrative password, wtf, when was i given an administrative password, i don't remember having to use it ever before
