Have you enable it in the Custom Name panel?

The (abusive, condescending and confrontational (N)) IT tech who I contacted about this problem pointed to the POP server logs and blamed messenger plus.  He also claimed that he installed it and it did the same thing to his e-mail.
I find that extremely hard to believe from the IT Techie (reasons see below).

Is there a known incompatibility?
No, the POP3 feature works perfectly in Plus! Any problems with it are most likely the fault of the POP3 host itself, not Plus!. (eg: the POP3 host not returning the correct amount of unread mails)

From what little I know of POP, you have to specifically issue the "DELE" command to delete the mail

RE: Bug report for Messenger Plus! 3.40 (beta)
ok i have an answer here. there is still a major memory leak in messenger plus. it has to be messenger plus and heres why. when messenger plus is running my messenger often reaches up to about 40,000kb's all by itself. so i killed msn explorer and all versions of messenger i then killed the process for messenger plus "msgplus" and then relaunched messenger my msn messenger is nor running quite happily around the 8,000kb's-10,000kb's region. now then when msn explorer runs yes it still runs at like 55,000kb's of memory but when it's running without messenger plus it still has no effect on messengers memory usage so plus must still have a big memory leak in it. i hope that this will get fixed in 3.50.
