O.P. Corporate Software inventory question

Hi all,

I need to take some software inventory of about 170 users or so. What software (preferably free) or method would you suggest I go about doing this?

Ok I have 170 users spead around a big building and I need to do an inventory of the software they all have on there machines. What is a good piece of software that you can suggest to achive my goal?
