O.P. MsgPlus modifying how messenger handles links?
A friend of mine wanted me to post this.
He wants to know whether MsgPlus can modify the way Messenger handles hotlinks. i.e. right now it's incredibly hard to select & copy one because it seems to like automatically visiting the url even if you don't click the actual blue text, but just try to click on the edges to copy it.
EDIT: Oh and he wants to know if you can add a "Copy hyperlink" item to the right-click menu of one, like Outlook Express does.

When you try to highlight these (Not click them) it is very hard to do without the URL opening up, even if you have not clicked on the link itself. I think this is what Segosa is trying to say... I have also had the same problem

But maybe the person does not want to do that. Which sometimes I don't, because it lags my computer.

yes, but that is however how links work in Windows. This is normal Windows behaviour which you'll encounter in any program. To select a link you' can't directly click a link, but you must click the space before or after the link and drag you mouse to the other end...

Which does not work correctly.
Even if you click the space before or after, it seems to think that's part of the URL and launches it. It's almost impossible then to select and copy the link.
