hi, I am an Italian user has been using your program for a lot of time... 
With the so many updatings that you have created I hoped you had resolved this problem that also happens me with the older versions: 
When I install plus works right... however after a few months it starts to show some bugs: 

1) the emoctions in the nicknames of my friends are not visualized more, in fact I see only those in my nickname. 
2) The emoctions in the thick text appears in the wrong place 
 
I have tried to uninstall and install the plus again but the problem remain...

I am guessing you are using custom contact names...

The reason that the names no longer view emoticons is because you are using this feature. As it changes the "view contacts by" to emails, but then puts the mask over so that you can still see their personal names.

Therefore, the mask is still technically the email, and the email address doesn't have the support to view emoticons, so it will not show, as what you are seeing is basically an email address with the mask of the personal name...

so:

Custom Contact Name = Email address + Mask to show personal name

The email can't support emotes therefore the mask cannot show emotes.

Update to the latest Messenger Plus! too,

An MSN 7 Beta had problems with lining of emotiocons so get the latest MSN 7 Build and the new updated Messenger Plus!
