is there a plugin to get the "change message to what i'm playing" and winamp working?

Yes there is, you can use either Toaster for Winamp or the MSN Messenger Now Playing Plugin for Winamp to make MSN Messenger's 'Now Playing' function compatible with Winamp.

The 'Search' button is quite handy aswell as this has been posted multiple times. Please search the forums first next time
