My mate needs to know how to make a admin account even though ur not a admin.

is there away plz tell me

There isn't a way, because the admin has the overall control of the computer, this includes creating the accounts...

Only one account on the computer can have Administrating abilities if you're running Windows XP Home Edition, if you're running Windows XP Professional, you can create new administrator accounts... But for that, you will need access to the administrator account...

isnt there away off doing it by safe mode or somethin???

I think I recall a tool that does this, but I don't know if it works anymore.

Boot your computer up in safe mode, and there may be an account called Administrator that by default exists and has no password protection. You can make an account in that and then return out of safe mode, and the account will exist.

im running xp home and i have 3 admins on my computer :/

no. your friend cant get administrator acess to go around his parents rules

hmm i thought there is another hideen admin that only arrears when booting in safe mode. there is on my pc, unless your parents set one there wont be a password to it.

Hidden Admins do not exist.. It IS possible to hide specific names from the Interactive Logonscreen..

I think you meant the "Administrator" account, it doesn't show up on the logon screen, only when you're logged in to safe mode.

An answer to the question:
There is a way to add users. In order to do so you have to boot with a 2nd operating System, for example: Knoppix

There are tools to change passwords, from inside Knoppix you could change the "Administrator" password into something simple like "12345", reboot and boot onder windows and login with Administrator - 12345..

Then you can add a new admin account..

The only bad part about this is that it will be noticed (i mean, the "Administrator" can't login anymore..)

Yes, this is a little shady, but it'll work for you in this specific situation (kind of like what Sypher
recommended, but this is easier).

You can use this program to make a floppy or CD bootdisk, then you can restart your comp, boot from it, change the password of any account on your computer (in this case the admin), then log in and make the account

Just make sure you choose to blank the password instead of changing it to something else. Read the site for more info ^_^
