Have been using messenger for about 18 mths no problems till I downloaded '7'. It is intermittant. Runs for a couple of days then stops for a few days, then runs again. Sometimes it runs partially i.e. if I click 'online' it will receive messages from my list of contacts and I can reply but can't instigate a contact. It just crashes. I have on the advice of MSN, cleared memory cache, uninstalled and re-instaled. No Change!! All sites, incl MSN sites and e-mail fully working/accessible. Have contacted ISP (NTL) - same suggestions. Service status always says 'All systems running and stable' HELP anybody.

Ok what's your ram? What version of msn 7 is it? And do you have any plugins etc in it

If not go to http://www.msgstuff.com/downloads/ it's in there somewhere Or get version 6.2 which is also in there

Ram is 512. not sure about plugins

Ok do you have messenger plus!? try using speedy msn which can be found in a recent news post at http://www.mess.be

And remove any patchs you may have it may have. Cant you sign in sometimes? becuase if it's that then that's just the server ehich you can not do anything about
