Well, you can always check your email...

If you have and it is still showing the emails, see Cookie's reply to email glitching

what program is it that shows the unread emails?

It depends what you use to sign into with msn messenger. If you use hotmail then thats what it means. However if you have another default account set up in outlook or something (any program can set what it checks but by default its hotmail) then it will check that.

Sometimes, when other people use that windows acount it will count their emails as well and keep them there because they are not checked. Just use the post i posted to reset it and see if it carries on happening.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but you could delete the unwanted .NET passwords from windows.

Start> run> type "control userpasswords2" (without quotes)> Advanced tab> Manage passwords> remove the ones you don't need.

Might not make a difference, but i think it could.
