Installed the new version of MSN, or rather my son did, and since he has all i get is pop ups, my blocker which previously worked is not doing anythng for them.


Had a look at the settings, but can't see anything obviousl.

Can someone help, in basic terms. lol.

You could try a spybot and adware scan, however if you have installed the optional Plus! sponser do not remove it via a scanner. You can get the uninstall guide from: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=21598

Have adware, but the other one you have to pay.  Was looking for something that was free.

Spybot is free, you can donate if you desire.

Though don't use the scanners to remove the sponsor - use Plus!'s uninstaller instead.

If your son installed the sponsor of Messenger Plus! just go in Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Messenger Plus! from there (you'll get an option to uninstall the sponsor).
