Don't you think it is possible that the version used in Bill's demo yesterday cold be a later build than what has been leaked?

I am saying this because, why would a fake version be unabled to sign-in to the Messenger servers other than if it was really an Internal Beta release?

Well if you think about it, that makes sense.... Windows Live Messenger is the Future... well of MSN... so obviously clicking that will bring up some page with information about the change etc

Yes guys, the screenshots that were leaked a few days/a week ago were indeed real (At least, the ones I looked at). This is INDEED MSN Messenger 8.0 BETA/Windows Live Messenger. It's not fake, and it is out to beta testers already. Released earlier this morning.

hehehe. patchou's probably gonna have a fun time with the new build, and compatability.

Not it is not out to Beta Testers yet. Only Microsoft employees and a select few MVPs can legaly use it.

The official Beta is yet to begin
