Hi people!

I have a problem with Windows Live Messenger, it has been running with Messenger Plus no problem.

Today I logged into my main Windows Live Messenger account and it opened as normal but when I click on a contact the chat window does not open it just appears on the task bar, however I can not open this at all.

I have logged in with another account and it is working fine! Very strange!

I have tried altering some of the settings such as Tabbed Chat etc but no joy.

Any one have any ideas?

Are you using any skins or have you used any patches on Messenger? If so, try disabling them.

Nope I hav'nt changed anything and not running any skins or mods. Just came in this morining and messenger was running and when I tried to open a chat window had this problem.

I have just had someone try to message me and the window on the task bar will not close. Even when I sign out of messenger and back in the window on the task bar opens again!

I'd try:

1) Disabling skins
2) Disbaling Skins
3) Any plugins?

Restart messenger and see if it works. If that fails, I would reccomend reintallation of Plus! (and WLM if needed)

Running standard skin, without any additions or plug in's.

I am going to wait till I get a chance then, will try logging on using the account thats playing up on another pc. If it works ok then I will have to go down the uninstall and re-install route on this pc!

Thanks for the help guys, if anyone else has any ideas, let me know.
