Hi all!

A guy on MSN has a real big display picture and since I have SPNG too, I see his avatar too in the original size. And then I was thinking... Messenger Plus! gives you the ability to give your contacts a custom name, but what about a custom Display Picture? It would replace the downloaded image from the server by an image from your computer so your list would load much faster. You could add a personal photo of every contact to easily remember who's who and it would be very very handy! Messenger Plus! already did so much things, so what can stop me from asking?

Now... what do you guys think? All comments are welcome!

I like the idea, it would be a nice touch to Plus! I'd definately use it

But then what would be the point in having a display picture if your contacts replace it with something else?

The same arguement could me made for custom names

I thinks its an alright idea, although i don't see the point in replacing it insted of just blocking it. I also guess it would be quite hard to implement.

You could say the same about the custom names feature! But people use that feature because you can easily remember who's who.

Text is easier to replace dynamically than images anyway. I've dug around the convo window structure myself, and text is easy to get. Image data, on the other hand, is not accessible.

It sounds like a great feature, i would use it. But i would like a button to quickly see their current DP which they are displaying aswell.
Good idea, is it possible?
