O.P. Tongue  My First Helpful Thread (I Hope)
Hi there !

This is my first ever thread here on the Messenger Plus! Forums, so i thought i'd try and make it a helpful first thread !
I'v been looking around this particular area and there seems to be some confusion towards adding colour to nicknames so im going to teach all you confuzzled people! This is the way i was taught so sorry if i confuse you even more !

First of all you need to use a "Special Code". Copy and paste this ·$ ito a Conversation.
When in the Conversation press <Ctrl K> and list of colours will pop up, if you drag your mouse over a colour, you will see a number. For example - Pink is 13. You need to add this number to the special code ·$13
And thats it ! Just add your text to the end of the special code - ·$13 John

Other Codes -

·@ = Underlined Nickname
·# = Bold Nickname
·' = Striked Out Nickname
·& = Italic Nickname

Also - Did you know you can use special characters on your Nickname ? You can find them by in ...
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools.

And that's my first ever thread over ! Hope i helped you all, and if not, sorry.

Thanks for the help, but people can use the faq's on the official Messenger Plus! website for this, and it has been posted many times before.

Also, you tutorial is really iffy, here is the correct way to do it:

in the chat window do the following:

/nick <ctrl+k - then choose colour you want><name here>

To get different formats, press "ctrl+r" to bring up the correct dialogue to choose striked out, bold, underlined or italic.

Someone else posted this method a while back, and claimed it was easier. Really, people should stick with the method on msgplus.net, as it's the easiest to use and understand ;)
Brownie points for trying though ;)

I'm quite happy with this, I think people would like to know the codes like above :d  I may even use them in the near future

There's nothing wrong with people knowing the codes (they're not hard to work out after all): it's just for new users it's easier to use the Ctrl shortcuts. Or the menus for that matter.
