RE: wheres the sound?
They are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Messenger Plus!\Custom Sounds as .dat files. Copy them to somewhere else (your desktop for example) so you don't interfere with Plus!, then you can rename the .dat files you just copied to .mp3 files and use them for whatever you want.

EDIT: Supersonicdarky, the file format you need for ringtones depends on your phone model. The last 3 phones I owned supported MP3 (and a bunch of other formats) for ringtones. Should your phone not support MP3 files, then you can always convert them to .wav, .mid or whatever you want. But midi files won't give you real sound, just polyphone.

It is a Hidden Folder thats why.

Click on Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > Select Show Hidden Files and Folders > Ok

Alternately you can type this into the run (start > run) command
code:
%appdata%\..\..\All Users.\Application Data

It is real messy cayse %appdata% brings up your profile, Note has to be english version of windows for the above part to work.

.png File Attachment: hiddenfolders.png (19.4 KB)
This file has been downloaded 332 time(s).

Going back to the image I posted, if you look underneath the show hidden files and folders you see Hide extensions for known file types, uncheck that.

Go to your sound library and look for the file you want there will be a number beside it, look for that in that folder.

Copy that file to another spot on your computer. Right click it and change the .dat to say .mp3

And thats it

What model phone do you have?

If its a nokia you can download Nokia PC Suite, which will convert any sound file into a ringtone and transfer it to your phone.

If not, convert it with your program of choice.
